My odyssey began in December 2014. Moving to New Zealand gave me a chance to redefine the balance in my life, to rethink what gives me joy and pleasure, to challenge myself in ways I expected and didn’t expect, and to meet many new people to share it all with. I should have done this ages ago. This odyssey is overdue.
I fill my life with adventures in New Zealand and beyond that give me a chance to get out and about into the backcountry, and this blog tells some of my stories. In 2017 I walked Te Araroa (South Island) – the Long Pathway running the length of New Zealand – followed by the Kungsleden in Sweden and the Walker’s Haute Route in Switzerland. After a break due to injury and pregnancy I am back on the trail and exploring how to safely hike with a baby.
